CHRISTMAS AT HOME

My sister Sanna usually wakes me up at 8 o'clock at Christmaseve's morning to have some breakfast and to see childrens Christmasprograms in the TV. Then we bake really good Christmastarts and tasty gingerbisquits.

Then we put the presents under the christmastree. After that we start to make food: ham, riceporrige with almonds, gingerbisquithouse etc. Then we eat supper together. Then we open those really lovely presents. I wish I could get these presents: Nintendogame (any game would be fine), helicopter with remote control, boardgame (any game would be fine), violin and drawingpaper. Well if I don't get the present I wished, then I get a suprisepresent.

We usually count how many presents each one  of us gets. Then we watch TV for some time and then we go to sleep.

OUR CHRISTMAS

When we wake up in the morning, we go with my sister Siiri to see, if the christmaselv has put the presents under the christmastree. We eat riceporrige and gingerbiquit for the breakfast. After breakfast we watch children's program from TV and prepare the christmassupper. In the afternoon we put better clothes and elfhat on. My grandparents, uncle Risto and aunt Lotta come to celebrate and have christmassupper with us. Grandfather plays flute and grandmother piano, aunt Lotta plays violin and rest of us sing. After supper we start to wait for Santaclaus to arrive.

Last christmas was a little bit different, because we spent it at my fathers ship and visited Germany. There was also a christmastree at the boat, which we decorated in the morning and we ate a wonderful christmasmeal. In the evening we went sith father and mother to deck to see if there would be any presents for us. Santa had left us a big sackful of presents. It was really nice to play with new toys the rest of trip.

OUR CHRISTMAS

I like christmas very much. You get presents at christmas. When it's christmasday, me and my sister Peppi go out to make snowmen and to have snowballwar against eachother. Then we make gingerbisquits, eat riceporrige andwatch cartoons from TV. Me and my sister Peppi doubt that Santa Claus don't exist at all.

CHRISTMAS IN FINLAND

Like everybody knows, we celebrate christmas because it's the birthday of Jesus Christ. In Finland it's typical to go to church, concert and to other events where people honor this great happening.

At home people celbrate christmas by having christmastree, which they decorate by own taste. People get very much good food for supper like swedecasserole, potatocasserole, big ham and tasty christmastarts. After it's eaten, everybody give presents to eachother. Sometimes too much.
