naja, gestern hab ich jakarta post gelese umd fand da schon eratunlich, dass (neben der meldug dass bbc ein interview mit bob marley machen wollte) der bruder von dem typen der den pabst umbringen wollte, sagte, dass sein bruder (DER IM HEFEN SITZT) um den pabst trauern wuerde, aber baier sch;aegt wieder einmal alles...bin auf jeden fall fuer jede protestmeldung (auch namentlich zu haben)

ich werde mich bemühen bis donnerstag eine protestnote an den bundesvortsand formulieren, die wir auch im nächsten argument veröffentlichen sollen. als gebürtiger mühlviertler bin ich von der repressiven gewalt des katholizismus als kind und jugendlicher gedemütigt worden, der pabst hat alles widerständige ausser beten ständig verurteilt, hat das sterben von aidskranken bewußt provoziert und in kauf genommen und etwa bischof romero gemaßregelt.
wir müssen dies irgendwie beantworten!

Als eine der "signifikantesten Persönlichkeiten des letzten Jahrhunderts, der den letzten Jahrzehnten seinen Stempel aufdrücken konnte" bezeichnete der Vorsitzende der Kommunistischen Partei Österreichs, Walter Baier, den Papst im Gespräch mit kathpress. Er empfinde tiefen Respekt vor der
Person
des Papstes, der seinen letzten Gang wiederum vor den Augen der Weltöffentlichkeit gegangen sei.
Die Persönlichkeit des Papstes sei von einem Format, "welches sich nicht einordnen läßt in die Kategorien des 20. Jh. von gut und böse"; vielmehr gebe sie einen "Hinweis auf eine Kategorie, die sich erst im nächsten Jahrhundert ausprägen muß". Zwar sei der Papst in seinen gesellschaftspolitischen Auffassungen wie z.B. in seinem Frauenbild konservativ oder gar "reaktionär" gewesen, so Baier, doch habe ihn diese Haltung zugleich auch zu einem "Kritiker eines geist- und seelenlosen Kapitalismus" werden lassen. Weiters sei es ihm aus dieser Grundhaltung möglich gewesen, sowohl "Gegner des Kommunismus, wie er ihn in seiner Heimat erlebt hat"zu sein, als auch "Fidel Castro die Hand zu reichen",

In Osteuropa habe Johannes Paul II. vor allem die Rolle eines "Katalysators" gehabt. Er selbst sei nicht Ursache des Umsturzes gewesen, sondern selbst Teil eines Prozesses, dessen Ursache "in den Fehlern der Regime" lag.
