Call for Papers Gemeinsame Tagung der DVPW-Sektion "Politik und Ökonomie" und der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Politikwissenschaft (ÖGPW)
Kapitalismustheorien 24.-25. April 2009, Wien
Die Transformationsprozesse des gegenwärtigen Kapitalismus haben ein verstärktes Interesse an Kapitalismustheorien hervorgerufen. Die Evolution unterschiedlicher Theorieentwürfe verläuft mitunter erstaunlich isoliert, Gesprächsbrücken zwischen Theorietraditionen sind
rar – obwohl die Theorien oftmals die selben Gegenstände behandeln, nach Lösung paralleler Probleme streben und sich gegenseitig befruchten könnten. Beispielhaft seien Theorien mit Ursprung in der Internationalen Politischen Ökonomie (z.B.: Neo-Gramscianismus) und mit Ursprung in der Vergleichenden Politischen Ökonomie (z.B.: Varieties of Capitalism) genannt: Während erstere nationale politische Ökonomien nicht mehr isoliert voneinander untersuchen, sondern den internationalen Kontext, in den diese eingebunden sind, berücksichtigen, haben zweitere die Einsicht in
die unterschiedlichen Funktionslogiken nationaler Spielarten des Kapitalismus in ihr Theoriegebäude integriert. Auf der Tagung möchten wir unterschiedliche Theoriestränge, die sich mit dem Wandel des Verhältnisses von Politik, Ökonomie und Gesellschaft beschäftigen, miteinander in Dialog setzen. Theorievergleichende Beiträge sind ebenso
erwünscht wie "State of the Art"-Beiträge zu einzelnen Theoriesträngen oder empirische Anwendungen solcher Theorien. Unter anderem sind dabei von Interesse: • Regulationstheoretische Ansätze, krisentheoretische Ansätze • Marxistische, postmarxistische und imperialismustheoretische Theorien • Internationale Politische Ökonomie, neo-gramscianische und Hegemonietheorien • Feministische Theorien des Verhältnisses von Politik und Ökonomie • Spielarten des Kapitalismus • Einbettungstheoretische, wirtschaftssoziologische Betrachtungsweisen • Theorien des Wandels von Staatlichkeit • Diskurstheoretische und systemtheoretische Zugänge
Die Tagung wird vom 24.-25. April 2009 in Wien stattfinden (der konkrete Ort wird noch bekannt gegeben). Die OrganisatorInnen werden sich um Finanzierung bzw. um Reise- und Aufenthaltskostenunterstützungen für jene bemühen, die Papers vorstellen. Eine Buchpublikation wird angestrebt; über ihr Zustandekommen wird im Anschluss an die Tagung entschieden.
Wir erbitten Zusammenfassungen vorgeschlagener Papiere bis 15. Dezember. Bitte schicken Sie Ihre Abstracts mit einer Länge von maximal 300 Wörtern an ulrich.brand@univie.ac.at. Die AutorInnen werden über die Auswahl der Beiträge bis 15. Januar 2009 informiert.
