Ich erlaube mir, eine Kritik der Organisation Wadi an der am 27. 9.
stattfindenden reaktionären Irak/Palästina-Demo weiterzuleiten. Unsere
Partei erweist durch ihre Unterstützung der Demo der Irakischen KP einen
Bärendienst und hat scheinbar auch wenig Berührungsängste mit der
Hamas...

Wadi e.V. kritisiert gemeinsame Demonstration von IslamistInnen, KPÖ und
sozialdemokratischen Jugendorganisationen unter dem Motto US/UK-Truppen
raus aus Irak Freiheit für Palästina
Die seit 1991 im Irak aktive Hilfsorganisation Wadi e.V. kritisiert die
Demonstration zu der das Austrian Social Forum (ASF) mit einem breiten
Bündnis für den 27. September aufruft . Das Bündnis besteht u.a. aus der
österreichischen Vorfeldorganisation der Hamas: der Palästinensischen
Vereinigung in Österreich, der Islamischen Föderation in Wien, der
libyschen
Propagandaorganisation International Progress Organisation und der
Kommunistische Partei (KPÖ) und reicht bis zur sozialdemokratischen
Studierendenorganisation VSSTÖ und der Sozialistischen Jugend (SJ). Im
Aufruf unter dem Motto US/UK-Truppen raus aus Irak Freiheit für
Palästina wird nicht nur festgestellt, dass ein friedliches und
unabhängiges Irak [sic!] nicht durch ausländische Militärmacht
herbeigeführt werden könne, sondern auch, dass sich der Widerstand im
Irak gegen eine undemokratisch von Amerikanern eingesetzte und
geführte
Militär- und Zivilverwaltung richte. Auch die Tatsache, dass die
Schwesterpartei der KPÖ, die Irakische Kommunistische Partei, sich wie
alle
anderen relevanten politischen Kräfte des Irak an dieser
undemokratischen
von Amerikanern eingesetzten Verwaltung beteiligt, hielt die KPÖ nicht
davon ab, den Aufruf zu unterzeichnen. Genauso wenig scheint es die
linken
und sozialdemokratischen FreundInnen des irakischen Widerstands zu
interessieren, dass sie hier u.a. mit halbstaatlichen Organisationen
genau
jener autoritär regierten Nachbarstaaten des Irak demonstrieren, die
seit
Monaten ihren Beitrag zu einer Destabilisierung des Irak leisten, weil
ein
demokratischer Iraq auch in ihren Staaten demokratische Bewegungen
fördern
könnte. Kein Wunder, so Thomas Schmidinger von Wadi e.V., dass hier
österreichische Linke ohne die Unterstützung einer einzigen Organisation
der
ExiliraqerInnen in Wien für die angebliche Befreiung eines Landes
demonstrieren, von dem sie nicht einmal wissen, dass es der und nicht
das
Irak heisst.
